      Well Known Brant Native Passes After Brief Illness

      HANOVER, July 23-The death of Jacob Miller occurred here Monday morning after a brief illness, having taken a paralytic stroke a week ago from which he never recovered.

      The deceased was in his 75th year and was born in Brant Township, being the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller. In June, 1904 he was united in marriage to Miss Agnes Bates, stepdaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrade Fischer. She predeceased him in Feb., 1907. They were blessed with two children, a son Randle Clarence who died in infancy and a daughter Fern Mary (Mrs. William Barton of Woodstock, Ill., U.S.A).

      He leaves five sisters and three brothers: Fanny (Mrs. Hillgartner) of Allan Park: Elizabeth (Mrs. Harvey Bohms) of Elora; Sarah (Mrs. Stephen Eby), Woodstock, Ill.; Amelia (Mrs. Wm. Fennigan) Sedgewick, Alta. and Mary (Mrs. J. Hogins of Dryden, Mich.) and John of Kitchener. Charles of Bentinck and Simon of Hanover, with whom he has made his home for the past six years.

      He was a Mennonite by religion and will be buried by Rev. Mr. Brown of that church.
