Mrs. Samuel Letson, (nee Mary Shoemaker), passed away at her home, one mile south of West Montrose on Sunday, Jan. 21. Deceased had resided in that district for over 52 years. She was a member of the United Church. The funeral was held on Wednesday, Jan. 24, with service at the home and then to West Montrose United Church. Rev. A. W. Fosbuary officiated. Interment took place in the adjoining cemetery. Surviving are her husband, one son, Byron of Conestogo, three daughters, Mrs. Walter Knarr, Conestogo, Mrs. Nancy Lasby and Miss Addie Letson. Four grandchildren also survive.
