    • Koch, Charles R., son of the late David and Elizabeth (Richert) Koch, was born March 16, 1878, at Conestogo, Ont.; passed away at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital in Kitchener, Ont., after a brief illness on Feb. 25, 1956; aged 77 y. 11m. 9 d. On Aug. 24, 1904, he was married to Minerva Swartz, who predeceased him in 1954. He was also predeceased by one son (Stanley), 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are 6 sons (Lester and Orton of New Hamburg; Phares of Kitchener; Oliver of Conestogo; Roy, St. Jacobs, and Charles of Listowel), 3 daughters (Mabel-Mrs. Herbert Kufske, Kitchener; Gladys-Mrs. Norman Martin, St. Jacobs, and Vera-Mrs. Nelson Snyder of Waterloo), 3 sisters (Mrs. Leah Musselman, Kitchener; Lizzie-Mrs. George Reist, Rosedale, and Hannah-Mrs. Titus Hallman, Rochester, N. Y.), 40 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He farmed in Woolwich Twp., for many years, retiring from active life in 1941. He joined the St. Jacobs Mennonite Church as a young man and remained a member until his death. Funeral services were conducted at the St. Jacobs Church on Feb. 28, 1956, in charge of Howard S. Bauman, assisted by Noah Hunsberger and Oliver D. Snider. Interment was made in the cemetery at Three Bridges.

      CHARLES R. KOCH

      Charles R. Koch, 77, of R.R. 2. Waterloo, died Saturday at the K-W Hospital after a brief illness.

      Born in Conestogo March 16, 1878, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Koch. Mr Koch farmed until 1941 when he retired. He was a member of St. Jacobs Mennonite Church.

      In 1904 he married the former Menerva Swartz, who died in 1954. He was also predeceased by one son, Stanley, in 1941; six brothers and two sisters.

      Surviving are six sons, Lester and Orton of New Hamburg: Phares of Kitchener, Oliver of Conestogo. Roy of St Jacobs and Charles of Listowel; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Mabel) Kufske of Kitchener, Mrs. Norman (Gladys) Martin of St. Jacobs and Mrs. Nelson (Vera) Snyder of R.R. 2, Waterloo; three sisters, Mrs. Leah Musselman of Kitchener, Mrs. George Reist of Rosedale and Mrs. Titus Hallman of Rochester; 40 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

      A private funeral was conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the Nelson Snyder home, R.R. 2. Waterloo, followed by a public memorial service in St. Jacobs Mennonite Church. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Rev. Howard S. Bauman, Bishop Oliver Snider and Noah Hunsberger officiating.

      The body was removed from the Dreisinger Funeral Par- lor, Elmira, Monday and taken to the Snyder home.
