  Leis, -- Laura, daughter of the late Christian Brunk and Magdalena Ressor, was born Oct. 24, 1894; passed away at her home in Wellesley, Ont., after a long illness, July 11, 1951; aged 56y. 8m. 17 d. From early life she was a faithful member of the Maple View A. M. Church near Wellesley. On Nov. 11, 1919, she was married to Joseph R. Leis; they resided in the village of Wellesley. Two brothers (David and Peter), and 2 sisters (Sarah--Mrs. Peter Bast and Catherine--Mrs. Rudy Jantzi) predeceased her. Surviving are her husband and 4 brothers (Menno, Christian, and Amos, all of Ellice Twp., and John, of Wellesley). Funeral services were held July 14, with Curtis C. Cressman officiating at the home and Samuel Schultz and Moses H. Roth at the Maple View A. M. Church. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral A short service will be held from her late home in Wellesley on Saturday, July 14th, 1951, at 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at Maple View Amish Mennonite Church, Third Line of Wellesley at 2.30 p.m., with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Sister, thou hast left us lonely, Sorrow fills our hearts today, But beyond this vale of sorrow Tears will all be wiped away.
