  Passed Away Very Suddenly Returns To His Former Home But Only For Short Time Very suddenly came the call to great beyond for Carl Kuhl on Sunday afternoon. While talking to members of his family he suddenly fell off his chair and expired before a doctor reached the house. The deceased was born in Hessen, Germany, June 24th, 1866, and came to Canada with Mr. Peter Kuhl and the late George Geisel. In 1888, he was married to Elizabeth Lang, daughter of the late Casper and Mrs. Lang. The family lived in and near Elmira for some time, then nine years about half way between here and St. Jacobs, 10 years near Breslau, and the last five years near Hespeler. The deceased and his wife then felt a desire to return to where they had spent their earlier years, so they bought a home in Elmira, the Hoelscher property on William Street. But he was not destined to enjoy this home long, only a few short months. He is survived by his sorrowing wife and five children, namely, Katie (Mrs. Chas. Kubbe), Puslinch; Amelia, of Fergus; William, at home; Emma (Mrs. Josiah Schmidt), Preston; Salome (Mrs. Ray McKay), of Kamsack, Sask.; and an adopted son, Victor, also survives. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon. Owing to Rev. Gallmeier's absence at Detroit, Rev. A. Orzen, of Kitchener conducted the funeral service. Elmira Signet, July 19, 1923
