  Mrs. Luella S. Blaschke Passes A former provincial president of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, Mrs. Luella S. Blaschke passed away in South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Galt on Saturday, September 7th. She was in her 85th year. Born in Strasburg, she was the former Luella S. Baer. She had been a resident of the area all her life, living many years in Galt. For the past few years she lived with a daughter Mrs. Kenneth Chesney in Princeton. Mrs. Blaschke was a member of Etonia United Church, former member of First United Church in Galt, and a member of the church's U.C.W. She was a life member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, a former president of the Galt chapter and a past provincial president. Mrs. Blaschke was also a past president of Galt Eventide Home Auxiliary. Predeceased by her husband Albert in February, 1962; a sister Mrs. Ion (Estelle) Snider; and two brothers Melvin and Eldon. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Chesney of Princeton; two sisters Grace Baer of Galt and Myrtle Kenyon of North Carolina; a brother Harvey Baer of Arizona; also four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
