  Joseph Albert Blaschke, 75. Preston, butcher for many years, died Monday while leaving South Waterloo Memorial Hospital where he worked as a meat cutter. He was born in Blair. Surviving are his wife, the former Luella Baer; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Chesney of Brantford: one brother,. William of Galt, and one sister, Mrs. Carrie B. Tullcon of Preston. The funeral will be conducted Thursday at the Little Funeral Home, followed by burial in Blair Cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 14 Feb 1962 pg 7 ______________ JOSEPH A. BLASCHKE A native of Blair. Joseph Albert Blaschke. 74 of 11 Gordon St.. died suddenly at the South Waterloo Memorial on Monday. Son of the late Gustave Blaschke and the former Matilda Harris Blaschke, he was born at Blair and had resided in Preston for many years, coming to Galt 10 years ago. A meat cutter by trade. He operated a business on Dickson St., for 20 years an had recently been employed in that capacity at the SWATH. A member of First United Church and of the session, he was also a very active member of the Galt Horticultural Society and the Preston Crokinole Club. Surviving besides his wife. the former Leuella Baer, are a daughter (Dorothy Mae; Mrs. Kenneth Chesney of Brantford a brother William A. Blaschke of Galt and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Belle Tulloch of Preston, Four grandchildren, Karen, Edward, Cameron and Donald Chesney also survive, Friends will be received at Little's Funeral Home, 39 Grand Ave., N.. for service Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow in Blair Cemetery.
