Notes |
- On Friday morning, Dr. William O'Dell Robinson, passed peacefully away at the home of his son, Doctor T. M. Robinson, St. Jacobs. The late Doctor who was in his eighty-sixth year, was one of the few old pioneers of St. Jacobs, that were left, being the third to pass to their reward, during the past couple of months. The deceased was well and favorably known throughout the whole of Waterloo County. Born in Leeds County, he moved to Oxford County, when a young man. After remaining there a short time, he came to St. Jacobs in 1867, where he resided up to the time of his death. A number of years ago he gave up his general practice to his son. Still there were a great number of people who came or would write from different parts of Ontario and Northwest, for his great cure for Rheumatism; so that in his declining years, he was a great comfort to his fellowmen who along with his many other friends, will be grieved to learn of his death. One son Dr. T. Manley Robinson, is the only surviving member of the family, left to mourn the loss of a kind father. The deceased belonged to the Masonic order. The funeral will take place from the residence of his son, on Monday afternoon. Service will. be held at the house at 2: 30 p.m. and thence to the Evangelical Cemetery for interment.
