- MRS. JACOB FRIES- By Record Correspondent - Heidelberg, March 8. - Mrs. Elizabeth Caroline Fries died early Saturday afternoon following a short illness. She was in her 69th year. Mrs. Fries was born in Linwood, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schleuter. After her marriage to Jacob Fries, who predeceased her 30 years ago, they lived on a farm in Elmira for 12 years. After her husband's death, Mrs. Fries moved to Heidelberg where she has since resided. She is survived by a son, George, of Heidelberg, two daughters. Mrs. Alvin Heier of Erbsville and Emma of near Waterloo, a sister, Mrs. Mary Duench of near Hawkesville and six brothers, Henry, Menno, Herman, August and John of Linwood and Charles of Elmira. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon with services at 2: 15 p.m. followed by a service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Heidelberg at 2: 30 p.m. Interment will be held in Heidelberg cemetery. Rev. Karl Knauff will officiate. Remains are resting at the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel in Elmira until (ends here)
