JOHN GIES.
Mr. Gies was born in this vicinity in 1858 and has lived here all his life He worked at the carpenters' trade for about nineteen years and had a hand in building quite a number of the splendid residences of the town, having built two houses for himself, but which he has already disposed of. He contributes five fine children to swell the population of the town. About two years ago he opened a liquor store, in which he keeps on tap the most popular brands of liquors, and those who have occasion to procure anything in that line will always fine Mr. Gies prepared to furnish them with a superior article. He has an honest reputation among leading physicians who require the best liquors in the market for medicinal purposes. If liquor you must have call at his store, where you will not be imposed upon by getting an inferior article. He also deals in fine moulding for picture frames, which he will make up for you on the shortest notice, at the most reasonable prices. Call and see him. Bottled beer and liquors, wholesale and retail.
