  STEELE, MARY CATHERINE Word has just been received by relatives of the death on Friday, October 19, 1917 of Mary Catherine Steele at Sceptre, SK, the 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Steele, formerly of Galt. She was born in Galt and had lived there until seven years ago, when the family moved to a farm in Puslinch. Shortly after leaving Galt, she was stricken with infantile paralysis and has been an invalid ever since. She then contracted other diseases and last spring, the parents went west with the hope of benefiting their daughter's health. Interment will take place in the west. Frank Steele of Metcalfe St. in Guelph, is an uncle. Mrs. Thomas Paddock of Puslinch Township and Mrs. John Jamieson of Hespeler are aunts.
