- STEELE, WILLIAM
Word was received on Monday evening, October 13, 1947 by Frank Steele of 40 Dumfries St. in Galt, of the death on Monday morning in hospital at Empress, Alberta, of his brother, William. He was the second son of the late James and Katherine Steele, who farmed for many years near Aberfoyle in Puslinch Township. Mr. Steele went west over forty years ago and after spending several years as a grain buyer, he took up land at Sceptre, SK and had lived there since. He had been in poor health for about two years. Survived by his widow, who was Elizabeth Laing of Fergus and one other brother, James of Lemsford, SK. Interment took place at Sceptre.
