  Allan J. Schmermund By Record Correspondent ELMIRA Allan J. Schmermund, 61, of 24 Queen St., Elmira, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Friday night. Born in Woolwich township Dec. 3, 1892, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Schmermund. Mr. Schmermund was employed at the Link-Belt, Ltd., Elmira. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and served on the church council for several years. Surviving are his wife, the former Ella Ritter; one son, Karl of Calahoo, Alta.; one daughter, Jean at home; one brother, Norman of Edmonton; one sister, Mrs. Alberta Geiger of Drayton, and two grandchildren. Two sisters predeceased him. The funeral will be at St. Paul's Church Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Frank Malinsky officiating. Burial will be in Elmira ceme- tery. The body will rest at the Dreis- inger funeral parlor, Elmira, un- til Tuesday at 1 p.m. when re- moval will be made to the church. Friends are requested to pay their respects prior to the service.
