- Wheeler, Ella (Mrs. Leslie) - Peacefully, on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Elmira, Ella Margaret (Thring) Wheeler, in her 90th year, formerly of Kitchener. Beloved wife of the late Leslie Daniel Wheeler (April 1990). Dear mother of Jean and Roy Dickin of St. Clements, Norm and Charlotte of Sauble Beach. Also lovingly remembered by her three grandchildren, Steve, Mark and Becky and her eight great-grandchildren, Michael, Bradley, Melanie, Jeffrey, Daniel, Carly, Elizabeth and Benjamin. Sister of Lou Martin of Guelph. Ella is fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Mary Jane (Sommerville) Thring; six brothers and two sisters. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday, January 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Saturday, transfer will be made to Calvary United Church, St. Jacobs for funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Arthur Davies officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph. In her memory, donations to St. Mary's Cardiac Care Centre or Leisureworld Cargiving Centre would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
