- Mrs. Nelson Miehm - Mrs. Nelson Miehm, 72, of 95 Franklin St., died in St. Mary's Hospital, yesterday after a short illness. The former Agnes Rose, she was born in Galt, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rose. A resident of Kitchener since 1913, she was a past president of St. Jerome's division of the Catholic Women's League, prefectress of the League of the Sacred Heart and a member of Centerville Women's Institute. She was a member of St. Jerome's RC Church. Her husband, whom she married in Galt in 1913, survives. Also surviving are four sons, Leonard of Spanish, Wilfrid and Nelson, Jr., both of Kitchener and Jerome at home; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Marjorie) Bish of Kitchener and Sister Rose Marie of St. Teresa's School staff, Kitchener; two brothers, John Rose of Galt and Alfred Rose of Santa Barbara, Calif.; three sisters, Sister St. Ivan of Peterborough and Mrs. Lawrence (Clara) Oakes and Mrs. William (Mary) Daniels, both of Galt. There are 12 grandchildren. One daughter predeceased her. The body is at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home, where the rosary will be said at 8 pm, Friday. Prayers at the funeral home at 9: 30 am, Saturday will precede requiem high mass in St. Jerome's Church at 10 am. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
