  MARGARET CHRISTIAN GEISEL Suffering from an incurable malady for more than three years, Mrs. Henry Geisel was released from her long suffering on Saturday, October 8th, when she peacefully passed away. Throughout the long illness accompanied by acute suffering the deceased bore her trials with almost unbelievable fortitude, never complaining and suffering in silence. The late Mrs. Geisel was born at Wilmot Centre, Waterloo County on May 27th, 1874. Moving with her family shortly after to Howick where her mother died while she was still a young girl. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicolas Koch, of Howick. On April 4th, 1898, she was married to Henry Geisel and the couple went to reside on the farm where Mr. Geisel still resides. For forty years the couple were residents of the district, never leaving the district. The deceased was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the same church, where she took an active part in all church activities until her health did not permit further activity. Respected and beloved by a large circle of friends her passing is deeply regretted. Those left to mourn their loss are her husband, five sons, Norman of Elmira; Gordon, Pilkington; Clayton, Milton, and Allan, on the homestead; two daughters, Mrs. Hoelscher and Lorina. After a short service at the home the remains were taken to St. Paul's Lutheran Church when Rev. F. Malinsky performed the funeral service before a very large congregation of friends and relatives. Interment took place in Elmira Cemetery. The pallbearers were: E. S. Otto, Fred Forwell, Clarence Schaub, Clare Brubacher, Israel Shoemaker and Earl Jackson.
