- EYDT, Rev. Paul - At his late residence, 24 Midland Drive, Kitchener, on Monday, Oct. 22, 1979, as the result of a heart attack in his 67th year. Rev. Paul W. Eydt, retired founding minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Reformation, Kitchener. He studied at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary and Mount Airy Seminary, Philidelphia, graduating in 1939. Ordained in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Kitchener, on September 8, 1940. Served in the parishes of Conquerall Mills, N.S., Moserville, Ellis Township, Trinity Lutheran Church, Hamilton, then established the Mission Church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the. Refomation, Kitchener, In 1955, serving until his retirement in January of 1978. A member of the Twin City Kiwanis Club, son of the late Jacob Eydt and Helen Schmidt. Predeceased by his first wife the former Corinne-Mae Menges. Surviving is his wife the former Marguerite Ruchty; one son Pablo Machetzki of Kitchener; three daughters, Hope (Mrs. William Stenton) of Kitchener, Corinne (Mrs. Frank Genovese) of Cemento, Penn and Carola (Mrs. Robert Rohrbaugh) of Pinegrove Mills, Penn.; 11 grandchildren. Predeceased by one sister. Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener, until noon on Thursday, when transfer will be made to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Reformation for funeral service at 3 p.m., Rev. Andrew Paulsen and Rev. William Hums officiating. Interment to follow in Kitchener's Mount Hope cemetery. Donations to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of tHe Refor mation, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
