  Hit by Auto, Woman, 85, Fatally Hurt Mrs. Mary Ruggle, 85, of 43 Severn St., was fatally injured when struck by a car as she crossed the Park and Union street intersection shortly after 6 o'clock last night. She died at the K- W Hospital about 45 minutes later from internal injuries. It was Kitchener's fifth traffic death of the year. WALKED AGAINST LIGHT Police said Mrs. Ruggle was walking across Park street in a southerly direction against a red light when struck by a car driven by Earl G. Grischow, 194 Ottawa St. North. The Grischow car was eastbound on Park street. Constable Alfred Herchenrader said there was a slight haze at the intersection. The constable said Mrs. Ruggle was walking home after visiting a friend on Union street. She was four blocks from home when struck. A post mortem was ordered for this morning. Mrs. Ruggle was born Oct. 26, 1874 at Hawkesville, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Dietrich. She lived in Floradale for many years but for the past 26 years was a Kitchener resident. Her husband, Anton J. Ruggle, died in 1932. A brother and a sister also predeceased her. FUNERAL ON SUNDAY Mrs. Ruggle was a member of Calvary Evangelical United Brethren Church. Surviving are sons, Edward W. of Floradale and Frank A. of Belleville; three brothers, Albert of Hespeler, William and Edward both of Toronto; two sisters, Mrs. Francis Davidson of Toronto and Mrs. Florence of White Plains, N.Y.; two grandchildren and one great-grandson. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. J. H. Getz officiating. Burial will be Woodland Cemetery on Monday.
