- FOELL, Stanley Cyrus Passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton, at the age of 92 years. Stanley Cyrus Foell was the beloved husband for 39 years of the late Dorothy Kathleen (nee Metzger) Foell (2014). Loving stepfather of David and his wife Christine Foell of Strongsville, OH, Diane and her husband Bruce Hahn of Monkton, and Richard and his wife Terri Metzger of Milverton. Cherished grandfather of Chad Foell, Laurel Foell, Joshua Foell, Darrick (Jane) Hahn, Bill (Jenn) Hahn, Pam (Trevor) Brame, Charlene Hahn, Adam Hahn, Christopher Smith, Shawn (Sarah) Metzger, and Jennifer (Jason) Yantzi, and 14 great-grandchildren. Brother of Carl and Gwen Foell of Wallenstein. Brother-in-law of Herb and Frances Metzger of Waterloo, Helen Vandermolen of Woodstock, Earl and Sharon Metzger of Elmira, Gladys Vollmer and John Henderson of Simcoe, AnnaBelle Payson of Elmira, Heather Metzger-Morrison of Kitchener, and Robert Metzger of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by Bruce and Cindy Foell, Heather Foell, Janet Foell, Connie Hamilton, John and Judy Wellwood, Nancy (Casey) Halstead, and Kevin Wellwood. Predeceased by his parents Emmanuel and Emma Foell, his sister Jean Foell, brother Robert Foell, and granddaughter Melissa Hahn. Stan was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Linwood, Elmira Golf Club, a lifelong harness racing fan and a gentlemen farmer. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, and Friday, August 18, 2017 at St. James Lutheran Church, 60 Arthur St. S., Elmira, from 1 p.m. until the funeral service time at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow with a committal service and interment in Elmira Union Cemetery at a future date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.
