- MRS. JOSEPH E. SNYDER
Mrs. Joseph E. Snyder, 68, of RR 1, West Montrose, died suddenly Sunday, Sept 30, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener.
The former Olivia Caroline Raitar, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Raitar. She was born July 26, 1894, in Woolwich Township and was a member of St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill and the Christian Mothers and Catholic Women's League of that church.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Norman of Gale; five daughters, Mrs. Lorne (Ada) Durat of Kitchener, Mrs. Earl (Amy) Eisenbach of Elmira, Mrs. Battridge of Breslau, Mrs. Harvey (Ruth) durst of Conestoga and Ethel Snyder, at home; a brother, Norman Raitar of Waterloo; a sister, Mrs. Albert Bruder, RR 1, West Montrose and 14 grandchildren.
The body was at the Dreisinger funeral Parlor where the rosary was recited Monday at 9 pm. Prayers were said at the funeral parlor Tuesday followed by requiem mass at St. Boniface RC Church. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. V. J. Pickett officiated.
