- John M. Brubacher, "was born March 8th, 1859. He was married to Angeline Rudy who died in February, 1891. They resided on part of the old 'Daniel Snyder' farm a little west of Waterloo where she died. To them were born four children".

John M. Brubacher Dead
The death of John M. Brubacher, of Elmira, formerly of near Waterloo, took place on Saturday, Oct. 20th, 1917, at his home in this village. The deceased who was 68 years of age, was married twice. His first wife was Angeline Ruby, to whom was born two sons and two daughters, one son at present being at the front in France. His second wife, who survives, was Lucinda Stauffer, to whom was born one daughter. Three brothers, five sisters, and two grandchildren also survive.
The deceased had an operation for appendicitis, which was successful, but pleurisy, and other complications set in and brought about his death.
The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon from his home on Church street to the East End Mennonite Church and cemetery at Kitchener, where service and burial took place. The bereaved family have the sympathy of their friends in their unexpected bereavement.
