  • Notes
    • Death of Jessie Thompson - On Monday last the community was very much pained to learn of the death from pneumonia of a bright little girl in the person of Jessie Elizabeth, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thompson, at the age of eight years and two months. She attended the Public School, being one of Miss McLean's pupils, and was an apt scholar, with a sweet, sunny disposition. She was naturally the idol of the home and much sympathy is expressed for the sorely bereaved parents. The funeral took place to Ayr cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, the pallbearers being Masters Reg Maeder, Norman Hall, Owen Comerford, C. Watson, Clarence McLean and Geo. Shibley. A beautiful floral anchor from the school testified to the esteem in which Jessie was held by both teachers and school mates.
