Notes |
- Death of Mrs. Clark - The many friends of Mrs. David Clark (nee. Lottie Holmes) were very much shocked to learn of her sudden death, which sad event took place on Thursday, the 28th February, at Toronto. Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Holmes of Ayr. Early in the century the subject of this obituary was united in marriage with Mr. David Clark, also of Ayr. Subsequently they removed to Toronto where they continued to reside throughout the passing years. Mrs. Clark was of an amiable, kindly disposition and beloved by all who knew her, and her early demise has cast a gloom over the old home town. She was an active worker in the North Parkdale Methodist Church and in the High Park Club, Toronto. Besides her sorrowing husband Mrs. Clark leaves two daughters, Mrs. Frank Perry and Miss Dorothy; also a sister Miss Louise of Ayr and a brother A. W. Holmes of Toronto.
