  Miss Lillian Hilborn Passes Funeral service was held on Thursday at Trull Funeral Home, Toronto, for a native of Ayr, Miss Lillian Hilborn, who passed away in that city on January 23. Entombment was made in Ayr Cemetery Chapel. The late Miss Hilborn was born in Ayr, a daughter of the late William and Jane Hilborn. Her father was a prominent Ayr industrialist, having successfully operated the former Hilborn Company which later converted to hockey stick manufacture. It was located on the site of Greenwood Park, across from the Ayr Community Centre. She graduated from Ayr Public School and eventually became a school teacher. After teaching the intermediate classes in Ayr for some years, she moved to Toronto, where she had resided since. She was the last surviving member of her family, being predeceased by sisters Florence, Nettie and Adeline and brothers William and Albert. The Ayr News Feb 2 1967 pg 11
