- Passing of Margaret Kyle
Former Teacher of Ayr Public School Was Valued Member of the Community
The death occurred in Galt Hospital on Tuesday morning of Margaret Kyle, a resident of Ayr for many years.
Born in South Dumfries township, a daughter of the late George and Margaret Kyle, she had lived in this village the greater, part of her lifetime. For many years, Miss Kyle was a teacher at the Ayr Public School, and she will be kindly remembered by her former pupils.
Miss Kyle had lived retired for the past 20 years. During this time she contributed greatly to the cultural life of the village. She was a former active member of the Ayr Library Board.
Miss Kyle was highly esteemed by many friends for her pleasing personality and word of her passing will be received with regret.
She is survived by one sister, George B. Muma, South Dumfries, and two brothers, John Kyle, South Dumfries, and James K. Kyle, Blenheim township. Another sister, Mrs. Nunan, predeceased her a year ago.
The funeral will take place from her late residence, Church street, on Thursday at 2.30 p.m. Interment will be made in Ayr Cemetery.
