    • Death of Thomas Fairgrieve - A wide circle of friends and acquaintances will sincerely regret to learn of the passing at 11 o'clock on Monday night of Mr. Thomas Fairgrieve, in his 80th year. The deceased had suffered a stroke several months ago, from which he never rallied. He was born at Galashiels, Scotland, and came to Canada at the age of nine, first settling at Guelph and coming to Ayr 45 years ago. Before leaving Guelph he married Miss Anna Hard, who predeceased him about 24 years. Mr. Fairgrieve was a carriage builder by trade, but for the past 20 years or more had been Librarian and Customs Officer, retiring some two years ago. The family surviving are George, Toronto; Elizabeth M., at home; Mrs. John A. Henderson, Ingersoll; Mrs. Robt. G. Morrison, and Mrs. W. G. O'Brien, Guelph; Wm. T. and Albert D., Vancouver. Funeral at 1 p.m. today.
