  Death of Mrs. Kingsburgh - This week the village of Ayr loses another highly esteemed old resident by the passing of Mrs. S. Kingsburg, whose spirit left its tenement of clay at 11: 30, Sunday forenoon, after an illness extending over a year. The deceased lady, who was in her 75th year, was born in the adjoining township of North Dumfries and was married, over 40 years ago, to Mr. Samuel Kingsburgh of South Dumfries, where they lived until coming to Ayr about the year 1886. Mr. Kingsburgh died some four years since and an only child, Nettie Gordon, predeceased him by a number of years. Mrs. Kingsburgh was a consistent member of Knox Church ever since her marriage and was very active in church circles. A brother, Mr. T. S. Rutherford, one of Burford's prominent citizens, survives and attended the death-bed of his beloved sister. The funeral, which took place on Tuesday afternoon, was very largely attended, interment being made in the beautiful Ayr cemetery. The Ayr News Jun 21 1906 pg 8
