- Death Of James Campbell - Well-Known Resident of 10th Con., Blenheim, Passes on Friday in His 77th Year - The death occurred on Friday, in his 77th year, of James Campbell, well-known resident of the 10th concession of Blenheim. Mr. Campbell was born on Swan street, Ayr, being a son of Robert Campbell, a Scottish pioneer, and Margaret Easton. He had resided on the 10th concession of Blenheim for some 45 years, and was highly esteemed by many friends. He had been in failing health for many years but had been confined to his bed for only a short period. He is survived by one son, Roy, and one daughter, Beatrice. His wife, whose maiden name was Allie Hagey, predeceased him 21 years ago. Also surviving are the following three brothers and four sisters: Robert Campbell, 10th Con., Blenheim; George Campbell, New Dundee; William Campbell, Black Horse Corner; Mrs. Margaret Forbes, Saskatoon; Mrs. Donald Gunn, Hespeler; Mrs. Bass, London; and Mrs. Jessie Rutherford, Kitchener. The funeral, which took place on Monday afternoon to Ayr Cemetery, was largely attended. There were many beautiful floral tributes. The Services were in charge of Rev. J. W. Currie, and the pallbearer's were: Roy Baxter, James Baxter, Leonard Duncan, Albert Pipe, John W. Lillico and E. M. Vander.
