    • Death of John Crozier

      The death took place on Saturday afternoon of Mr. John Crozier, at his residence on Blair Road. Deceased was over 80 years of age and had lived in Ayr for many years until three years ago, when he moved to Galt. - From the Reporter we learn that he was a native of Peebleshire, Scotland, and came to this country when only four years of age, with is parents, who settled on a farm near Glenmorris. In 1854 he married Janet Wells, who still survives, and took up his residence in Ayr. He was a Reformer in politics and was a member of Knox Church, Ayr, for fifty years. Besides a widow he is survived by two sons, Adam, of Brantford, and William of Bay City, Mich.; and three daughters, Mrs. Bonham, of Branchton; Mrs. Abbot, Cleveland, and Mrs. Bremner, in the United States. The funeral was held at one o'clock Monday afternoon from his late residence to Ayr cemetery. - Service was held at the house by Rev. Dr. Dickson, and the service at the grave was in charge of Rev. Mr. Thomson, pastor of Knox church, Ayr.
