_______________________
Thomas Marshall - The death occurred, suddenly this (Wednesday ) morning at his home Roseville of Thomas Marshall, aged 76 years. Mr. Marshall was born near Blair and spent most of his life in the Blair and Roseville district, where he farmed for many years. He lived in Ayr for a period of about ten years, and it was here that his son, Raymond, was born. In his later years he retired and had been living in Roseville. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Margaret Swan, in 1934. Mr. Marshall had been in fair health, and his death was a distinct shock to the community where he was known and respected by a host of friends and neighbors. A violin player of note, Mr. Marshall was in former years in great demand at dances and other social affairs. He was also an authority on old time and square dances and was a judge of these contests at the South Waterloo Agricultural Society Fair in Galt for years. He leaves to mourn his passing, two daughters, Mrs. Lorne DeBrusk (Margaret) of Blair, and Mrs. Isobel Osborne of Toronto; one son, Raymond of Hamilton; and six grandchildren.
