  Mrs. George Babcock A lifelong resident of this community, Mrs. George Babcock of William Street, Ayr, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, June 6th. She was in her 93rd year. Born in Wolverton, she was a daughter of the late Mary Ellen McFadden and John Morton. She was a life member of Ayr Women's Institute and long-time member of Knox United Church, Ayr. Beloved wife of George Babcock; dear mother of George Jr. and his wife Colombe of Massey, John and his wife Joan of British Columbia, Barbara and Harold (Bob) Beechey of Paris; Peggy of Ayr and Betty and her husband Les Pettigrew of Ayr. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Rested at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, where service was held on Friday afternoon. Interment Ayr Cemetery.
