      Crammond K. Morton Passes in Toronto, Aged 82 Years

      A former Well-known resident of Ayr passed away in Toronto on Friday in the person of Crammond Kennedy Morton, beloved husband of Jessie Singer, aged 82 years.

      The Morton family left Ayr 25 years ago for Galt, where they resided two years, after which they removed to Toronto.

      Mr. Morton was born in the village of Saguenay, Quebec. He conducted a general store and harness shop in Ayr for many years, where he also acted as C. P. R. express agent. In addition, he held the position of village clerk for some years.

      Besides his widow, he is survived by the following children, Edward Morton, Winnipeg; Mrs. Andrew T. Robson, Toronto; Crammond E. Morton, Toronto, and Mrs. Ernest Scott, Galt.

      The funeral took place on Monday afternoon, interment being made in Ayr Cemetery. Service at his late residence in Toronto was conducted by Rev. Dr. Neil of St. Enoch's United Church. Rev. J. W. Currie, pastor of Knox United Church. Ayr, conducted the service at the graveside, and the pallbearers were: Andrew T. Robson Toronto; Ernest Scott, Galt; J. C. Swan, Geo. H. Lawrence, Edward Whitson and Henry Wolfe.
