  Mrs. George H. Thomas Passes - A former well known Ayr resident, Mrs. George H. Thomas passed away in Detroit on Friday. The former Agnes Jane Scott, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Scott, and came to the village as a young girl. The family resided on Walter St., for many years. At one time she was organist at the Stanley Street Presbyterian Church. She was married in Ayr to George H. Thomas, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Thomas, formerly of St. Andrews Ave. They left many years ago for Detroit, where Mrs. Thomas had since resided. Her husband and younger son, Dudley, predeceased her some years ago and the elder son, Herbert Scott, died in May, 1965. Funeral service was held in Ayr on Tuesday with interment in Ayr Cemetery.
