  Lt. Col. E. C. (Pat) Goldie Word has been received of the passing of Lt. Col. E. C. (Pat) Goldie, D.S.O., V D., of Toronto, on Tuesday, October 14th. Born in Ayr, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Goldie and a grandson of John Goldie. The Goldie family founded the Goldie Mill at Greenfield and built "The Gore" on Northumberland Street, Ayr. Predeceased by his wife, the former Mostyn Mills; four brothers Dr. William, John, James and George; two sisters Mrs. Fred (Anna) Clelland and Mrs. Esther Kilgour. Survived by a son Michael of Vancouver; four grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. J. W. (Theresa) Falkiner of Toronto. Funeral service in Toronto with interment in Ayr Cemetery.
