- Timmins Loses Another Worthy Citizen in Death of Mrs. J. M. Studor
Resident of Timmins Since 1911. During Last War With Husband and Three Sons Overseas was Noted for Work for Red Cross and Other Patriotic Causes. Funeral Services Yesterday.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at four o'clock, from the home, 114 Tamarack Street, for the late Mrs. Jacob M. Studor, who passed away at St. Mary's Hospital on Monday afternoon. The late Mrs. Studor was a real old-timer of the North Land and her death has saddened numerous friends, who showed their esteem and respect, and sympathy for the bereaved family with beautiful floral tributes.
Pallbearers were six sons of the late Mrs. Studo -Peter. of Capreol, Arthur, of Rouyn, Maxwell, Walter, Hubert and Charles of Timmins, and funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. M. Mustard of the Timmins United Church.
The late Mrs. Studor was born Margaret Louise Kaufman, near Woodstock, Ont., in April, 1868, and was seventy-one years old. She became the bride of Mr. Jacob M. Studor in Southern Ontario fifty-two years ago, celebrating her golden wedding anniversary in Timmins two years ago.
The family resided for several years in Callandar, where many of children were born, before moving to Timmins in 1911, having resided here since that time. The late Mrs. Studor was well-known to both old-timers and newcomers to the town, and was a popular member of such organizations as the imperial Order Daughters of the Empire and the Women's Missionary Society and the Ladies' Aid of the Timmins United Church, being both interested and able in church and community work.
During the last war, with her husband And three sons. Walter, Arthur and Maxwell, serving overseas, Mrs. Studor was noted here for the patriotic work accomplished, knitting innumerable socks for the soIdiers and doing much other effective work for community and country.

Sudor; six sons, Peter, of Capreol, Arthur of Rouyn, Maxwell, Walter,'Hubert and Charles of Timmins; two daughters, Nellie (Mrs. David Moore) of 11 Patricia Boulevard, Timmins; and Ruby (Mrs. Coderre), of Peterborough: and three brothers and two sister all in the United States.
