    • Rev. Dr. Thomson Bereaved

Our esteemed townsman, Rev. Dr. Thomson, has sustained a sore bereavement in the death of his only remaining brother, Mr. George Thomson, which event took place at his home in Welland, Ont., on Monday, Oct. 14, after an illness of some time, aged 71. The deceased was well and favorably known in Ayr, where he frequently visited his brother. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and came to Canada in 1871, settling in Hamilton for some years. Later he lived in Toronto for a time and finally in Welland, following the occupation of an accountant. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and three daughters. The late Mr. Thomason, like his brother, was an enthusiastic musician, vocal and instrumental classical music being his forte. Interment was made in Ayr yesterday.
