- PTE. EDWARD ZIEGLER
Pte. Edward Harry Ziegler, 19 - year-old son of Mrs. Eliza Ziegler, 123 Albert St., Waterloo, has become seriously ill as a result of wounds received in action on March 1. The wounds were caused by a bullet penetrating the left thigh and leg.. Pte. Ziegler went to Holland from England, having arrived overseas at the end of September, 1944. As far as his mother knows, he was serving in that country when he was wounded.
Previously employed at the Globe Furniture, he enlisted last spring. He was born and educated in Waterloo.
