  BECHTEL, John Irvin 1929-2007 '96It is with great sadness that the family of John (Jack) announce his passing at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on May 12, 2007 in his 78th year after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his wife Ella and children Don (Anne) of Alberta, David of Cambridge and Dale (Regula) of Switzerland. Grandpa will be missed by his 8 grandchildren-Kyle, Lara, David, Jessica, Rebecca, Bethana, Dylan, Zoe. Predeceased by his parents Ada and Irvin Bechtel. Much loved "Big Brother" to Marg (Emerson) Martin of Ariss, Bob (Bea) Bechtel of Cambridge, Harold (Donna) Bechtel of Cambridge, Ken (Audrey) Bechtel of Saskatchewan, Mary Ellen (and her late husband, Glen) Brown of Elora, Linda Bechtel of Cambridge. Lovingly missed by many nieces and nephews. John's family will receive friends at the Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge on Tuesday, May 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at Wanner Mennonite Church at 1: 30 p.m. with interment to follow in Wanner Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Medical Day Care would be gratefully appreciated.
