• Notes

  A highly respected resident of Galt for many years, James Albert Kent, passed away at Galt Hospital yesterday afternoon. Mr. Kent was in his 71st year, had been in hospital for about a week. Mr. Kent was born at Sheffield and had lived most of his life in Galt. A fitter by trade, he had been employed at R. McDougall Co. Ltd. for the past 47 years. Mr. Kent was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he was a member of the church council and where he had served as superintendent of the church Sunday school for 25 years. He was also a member of the Ancient Order of Foresters. Besides his wife (Caroline Boehmer) he is survived by one son, Kenneth Kent, of Hamilton; two daughters, Miss Dora Kent of Guelph and Mrs. John Ward of Galt; four grandchildren; four brothers, William of Brantford, John and Joseph of Galt, Reuben of Woodstock; and one sister, Mrs. Zenith Chapman of Galt. The later Mr. Kent is resting at the T. Little and Son Ltd. Funeral Home, 39 Grand Ave., n, where the funeral service will be held tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock.
