  GOUDY, MARY (McKenzie) On Tuesday, June 4, 1902, in her 63rd year. Relict of Robert Goudy. She had not, for eighteen years, enjoyed good health and for the past five months, was in a precarious condition. Mrs. Goudy was born in Scotland and when a little girl, came with her father, the late Alexander McKenzie, to Lucknow. When about 20, she married Robert Goudy and they lived for a time in Beverly and afterwards in Puslinch. Twenty-five years ago, Mr. Goudy died and she, with her family, moved to Galt, where she has lived ever since. One daughter and seven sons are now left: Mrs. William Mullen, Alexander, Peter and Edward of Galt; John of London; Robert of Belleville; Donald of Dunkirk, NY; and Henry of Hamilton. She also leaves one brother and three sisters: Mrs. William Gilbert of Beverly; Mrs. Duncan Stewart of Munising, Ml; Mrs. Donald McDonald of Clinton; and Alex McKenzie of Rochester, NY. She was a woman of a kind heart and as a mother, her children will always remember her with warm affection. The funeral took place on Thursday at 2 from her residence on Hopeton St. to MountView Cemetery. -Information from the death certificate: Of Hopeton St. in Galt.
