      Old Puslinch Resident Mrs. McLarty Passed Away in Galt

      An aged resident of Puslinch and Galt, on Sunday evening, June 5th 1904, at the home of her son-in-law, George Hutchison of Beverley St. in Galt. Relict of John McLarty. She was stricken with paralysis early in January. She was born in Arran, Scotland in 1824 and at the age of 9(?) years came to Puslinch with her parents and settled on the well known McMaster farm at Killean. Her husband died some thirty years ago. Their family of eleven consisted of four sons and seven daughters, Archibald and Malcolm of Washington State; John of Galt; Charles of Paris; Mrs. A. Ord of Aberfoyle; Mrs. J. Porter and Mrs. J. (?) McLennan of Galt; Mrs. G. Clouling (?) of Michigan; Mrs. W. Hutchison and Mrs. G. Hutchison of Galt; and Mrs. William Hubert, deceased. The funeral took place on Tuesday to the Mount View Cemetery in Galt. She was carried to her last resting place by a nephew and five grandsons. Rev. Dr. King of Galt conducted the services at the house and grave.

      -Information from the Knox Presbyterian Church of Crieff baptism records: Children of John McLarty and Euphemia McMaster of lot 17, 1st concession of Puslinch were Mary Cook McLarty, born Aug. 2, 1856; John McLarty, born Feb. 12, 1859; Euphemia McLarty, born July 8, 1861.
