  Elias M. Gingrich, Myerstown RD 1, died Thursday afternoon in the Ephrata Community Hospital. He was 79. Gingrich was admitted to the hospital Thursday after suffering a heart attack while attending a funeral at the Pike Mennonite Church. Born in Ontario, Canada, he was a son of the late Elias M. and Anna ["Nancy"]Martin Gingrich. He was a member of the Fairview Mennonite Church and a retired carpenter. In addition to his wife, Rebecca Bauman Gingrich, he is survived by the following children: Lucinda, wife of David K. Burkholder, and Elsie, wife of Adam K. Burkholder, Ephrata RD 3; Minerva, wife of Ivan Weaver, Womelsdorf RD1; Rachel, wife of John Weaver, Lebanon RD3; Miriam, wife of Louis Hurst, Ephrata RD1; Lovina, wife of David Z. Martin, and Sidney and Elias B. Gingrich, all of Myerstown RD1, and Irwin Gingrich, East Earl RD1. He is also survived by 68 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and a brother John M., Myerstown RD1. Pallbearers: Glenn Gingrich, Kenneth Gingrich, Allan Burkholder, Earl Burkholder, Wilmer Weaver and Elias Stauffer
