D. J. Alison Is Killed in Auto Crash
Denis J. Alison, of Dryden, Mich., former president of the Detroit Stock Exchange and a partner in Alison & Co., Detroit brokerage firm, was injured fatally at 6:30 a, m. Thursday when his car skidded on icy pavement and crashed into a tree on M-24, a mile south of Metamora, Mich.
He died in an ambulance taking him to City Hospital in Lapeer.
Alison was born in Gault, Ont., 45 years ago. He was a widely known stock breeder. He formerly formerly was an officer of Kean, Higbie and Co., later organizing Alison & Co., with N. Bradley Higbie Jr. He was a prominent member of the Metamora Hunt Club. He also belonged to the Detroit Athletic Club and the Detroit Club.
Survivors are his wife Helen; four sons, Denis J. Jr., Thomas, David and John; his mother, Mrs. Hannah Alison, of Dryden, and a sister, Mrs. William Calverly, of Royal Oak.
