SUDDEN DEATH.
Mrs. John Anderson in Usual Health at Night, Passes Away in the Morning
Thursday night, Mrs. Anderson wife of John, was very fond of frequenting, in the afternoon and her family could not see that she was at all ill. About 4 o'clock this morning, she woke up in intense agony and fifteen minutes later had ceased to breathe. The doctor was at once telephoned for and within a few moments was in attendance. It was beyond his power, however, to prevent the grim reaper from claiming his own. She retained consciousness until a very short time before she died, passing away almost immediately after she became unable to recognize the loved ones about her. The cause of death was undoubtedly heart trouble. She had suffered from it for some years, but it was thought she was recovering. Her sudden demise would show however, that she had not freed herself from that malady.
The late Mrs. Anderson was loved by all who were intimately acquainted with her, for her kindly disposition. This attribute made for her many friends and her bereaved husband and those who will feel the blow the most, have the sympathy of the community in their affliction. This is the first break in the family circle and the void that has been made can never be filled. The sorrow incidental to such circumstances is beyond the powers of expression.
The parents of the departed predeceased their daughter several years, but four brothers and as many sisters are still living; W. E. and Moses Martin, Woodstock ; Jacob, Toronto; Robert, Michigan; Mrs. Bronson, Montbridges; Mrs. John Thornton, Oshawa; Mrs. John Baird, Orillia and Mrs. Dietz, Chicago.
The surviving children are: William, Phoebe and Jennie at home and Albert, in Aylmer.
The deceased was born In Markham, 68 years ago. With her husband she had lived in Oshawa, Collingwood and Wingham, coming from the latter place to Galt. Many years were passed in Oshawa and the intelligence which the friends there will receive will produce real and unfeigned grief. The funeral will take place from her husband's residence, South Water St., at 8.80 o'clock Sunday afternoon, to Mount View cemetery.
