Hallman was born March 24, 1867. She was married to Enos Cressman Feb. 1, 1887. At the age of 63 y. 10 m. 9 d. she passed to her eternal reward, leaving a sorrowing husband, 4 daughters, 4 sons, 34 grandchildren, beside many other relatives and friends. One daughter died in infancy. In 1888 she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Mennonite Church, of which she was a faithful member to the end. In a recent testimony she expressed much joy in the assurance of eternal life. In her bodily affliction she manifested true Christian fortitude. Funeral services were held Feb. 5 at the Biehn Mennonite Church in charge of Bros. Oscar Burkholder and Curtis C. Cressman.

Death of Mrs. Enos Cressman
The death occurred at her home about four miles south of New Hamburg on Monday, February 2nd, of Lovina Hallman, beloved wife of Mr. Enos M. Cressman, at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 9 days. She had been ill for several weeks. Her death came as a shock to her many friends. The deceased was a valuable member of Bean's Mennonite Church and was greatly beloved by all who knew her. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob S. Hallman and was born on the homestead on the corner of Bleam's and the Petersburg road in Wilmot. On February 1st, 1887, she was married to her now bereaved husband. Their union was blessed with nine children, one of whom died in infancy. The remaining children are Jacob, Manassah and Edmond of Wilmot, Abner at home, Mrs. Mannasah Shantz, Mrs. Aaron Bowman, Mrs. Eldon Hunsberger and Mrs. Orphen Weber, all of Wilmot. She is also survived by one brother, Bishop Mannassah Hallman, and one sister, Mrs. Geo. Schmitt, both of Wilmot. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon to Bean's Church for service followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. A very large gathering of sorrowing relatives from near and far attended the funeral.
