    • L. M. (MONTY) LOVEGROVE

      The death occurred yesterday morning, in the Woodstock general hospital, of L. M. (Monty) Lovegrove, well-known and life-long resident of this district, following a short illness. Mr. Lovegrove had been visiting in Woodstock at the time, he was stricken three weeks ago and his condition did not permit removing him to his home. Born at Harrisburg, Mr. Lovegrove was in his 78th year and had resided in Galt, for the past 57 years. For over 30 years, he had been employed with the board of works department of this city. He was a quiet, home loving citizen, with a great interest in gardening. Surviving beside his wife, the former Linda Bechtel are two daughters, Mrs. Stuart Moss, Dundas and Mrs. A. E. Lamond, Galt; five sons, Fred, Lawrence, Guy and Carl, all of Galt, and Harold of Toronto; also three sisters, Mrs. Walter Barlow, Mrs. Charles Neff and Mrs. Elmer Dykeman, all of Galt; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The late Mr. Lovegrove is resting at the residence, 40 Rich avenue, until tomorrow, at 11 o'clock Funeral service will be held in the T. Little and Son Ltd. funeral home, at 2.30 o'clock, tomorrow afternoon, with interment, in Mount View cemetery.
