For 15 years president of the Bright Cheese Factory, Peter S. Hallman, 89, died today at the home of his son, Clarence, near Plattsville. He had been in failing health. Mr. Hallman was born Dec. 2, 1863, north of Plattsville on the Blenheim-Waterloo town line. His parents were the late Abraham Hallman and Mary Schmidt. Mr. Hallman married the former Eliza Stauffer March 4, 1890. She died last year. After living in New Dundee, Mr. Hallman moved to the farm now occupied by his son and later retired and moved to Plattsville. He was a trustee of Blink Bonnie school board for 16 years. He was a member of Chesterfield United Church, and a member of the board of trustees for many years. He attended Plattsville United Church after moving here. Surviving are one son, Clarence; two brothers, Rev. Eli of Philadelphia and J. Riley of Toronto; two sisters, Mrs. Josiah Cassell of New Dundee and Mrs. Ephriam Snider of Kitchener; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. . .
