  The Funeral of Mrs. Hallman Sarah Anna, wife of M. S. Hallman, who died at Berlin Tuesday, Sept 26 at 9 p.m. at age 35 years, 2 months and 23 days was buried in Mt Hope Cemetery this afternoon; the funeral leaving her husband's residence at 1: 30 p.m. and thence proceeding to the Evangelical Church, Waterloo where service was held. Many friends paid a last tribute of respect to the deceased who by her genial ways had made many warm friends in the community. The Daily Record 29 Sep 1893 ____________________ On Tuesday, Sept. 26th, death terminated the earthly career of Sarah Anna Anthes, wife of Mr. M. S. Hallman, of the Chronicle staff, Waterloo. The deceased had been a sufferer from that dreaded disease, consumption, for two years... She leaves behind her a sorrowing husband and a little two-year-old girl.
