  Cardy To Manage The Mount Royal. It is officially announced from the New York office of the United Hotels, Company of America, that Mr. Vernon G. Cardy will be the resident manager of the Mount Royal Hotel, now approaching completion in Montreal, P. Q. Mr. Cardy "was brought up" in the hotel business, his father having been the proprietor of a hotel at Galt, Ontario, which he operated for 25 years. At present Mr. Cardy is manager of the Royal Connaught at Hamilton, and the Clifton at Niagara Falls, which has just closed a highly successful season. He has been in the employ of the United Hotels Company for a number of years, having first held the position of assistant manager at the King Edward in Toronto. The new manager of the Mount Royal is an enthusiastic motorist and golfer, a member of many clubs, an ardent Rotarian, and was the first president of the Ontario chapter, Greeters of America.
