    • DIED IN GALT AS RESULT OF INJURIES
Late Albert Buckley Was Well Known in Keady District

The late Albert Buckley, whose funeral took place Saturday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Dougherty, 4th Avenue East to Greenwood Cemetery, died in Galt Hospital early Thursday morning as a result of injuries sustained while at his work in the south works of the Goldie and McCulloch plant there. Mr. Buckley made a miss step from 2 scaffolding and dropped a distance of fifteen feet alighting on his feet.

Although it was thought at the outset that his injuries were not serious, he was taken to the hospital and everything possible was done for him. He was born in England 48 years ago and some eighteen years ago came out to Canada. While at Keady he worked for the late John Duncan and Mr. George Henderson. Ten years ago he was married to Miss Isabella Barber, a daughter of the late James and Mrs. Barber, formerly of Keady. After their marriage they moved to Toronto and on the death of Mrs. Buckley he moved to Galt where he has lived since then. All his relatives are in the old country. In Keady he was very well known and well liked by all with whom he came in contact.

He was an ardent bowler and baseball fan and a valued member of the Goldie and McCulloch staff.
